Jenni Peters, Jill Daughhetee and Patty Thomsen recently achieved Certified Rural Health Clinic Professional certification through the National Association of Rural Health Clinics (NARHC). "The National Association of Rural Health Clinics knows that in order for RHCs to thrive and grow, their employees, especially those in a leadership role, need the most up to date information on the federal and state guidelines pertaining to the Rural Health Clinic program. RHCs have distinctly different rules when it comes to operations and management," says the NARHC.
Jill Daughhetee, Director of Education and Communication at KHC says of the CRHCP certification, “The CRHCP certification knowledge compliments our KHC Clinic Assistance Program (KHC CAP) curriculum beautifully. With three newly certified staff members, we now have four CRHCP staff available to provide onsite or virtual technical assistance to our Kansas RHCs through our KHC CAP program. We’ve identified a need for technical assistance for our small, rural practices and through generous funding from the KAMMCO Foundation, we’ve been able to meet the needs of practices this past year and plan to expand our services in the coming year. We’re currently piloting a program to assist RHCs in performing their own Mock Inspections to prepare for RHC Surveys and anticipate a high demand for this service in the coming months.”
