Sam Antonios, MD is a physician leader serving at Via Christi Health. He is the Chief Medical Officer for Via Christi Hospitals in Wichita and Medical Director for Information Systems. In his role, he provides oversight for the operations of the Medical Staff, clinical services and works collaboratively with all stakeholders at Via Christi to improve quality and delivery of Via Christi’s mission.

He is a Board Certified internist, hospitalist and is a Certified Physician Executive from the American Association for Physician Leadership.

Larry Botts serves as Chief Medical Officer of Shawnee Mission Medical Center. He has 27 years experience as a private practice Pulmonary/Critical Care physician in the Kansas City area and a member of the Shawnee Mission medical staff. He is currently an adjunct faculty member for the UMKC Physicians Assistant Program.

He received his bachelor’s in 1974 and medical degree in 1979 from the University of Nebraska and his Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship at the University of Kansa Medical Center in 1984. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary and critical care. Botts is a fellow in the American College of Chest Physicians, a member of the Society of Critical Care, and a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Russ Johnson joined Lawrence Memorial Hospital as President and Chief Executive Officer in 2016. With 30 years of successful senior leadership in hospitals and health systems, he previously served as Senior Vice President of Network Development and Outreach with the Centura Health System in Englewood, Colorado.

Mr. Johnson is active in many professional, civic and community organizations. He was a board member for the American Hospital Association for three years and served on regional councils and committees. In 2007 he was awarded the American Hospital Association’s Shirley Ann Munroe Leadership Award, which recognizes a small or rural hospital leader who has improved health care delivery in their communities. He also received the Rural Healthcare Excellence Award by the Colorado Rural Health Center in 2007 and was the Colorado AHA Grassroots Champion for 2008.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow. He received a bachelor’s degree in management and economics from the University of Tulsa, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and a master’s degree in health care administration from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.

He also held several leadership positions at Via Christi Health in Wichita, including President and CEO of Via Christi Clinic and Senior Vice President of Physician Services.

Dr. Kenagy has a Masters in Medical Management from Tulane University. He received his medical training at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1987. He completed the Family Medicine Residency through the University of Kansas School of Medicine Wesley Medical Center.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and General Business from Missouri State University, and a Master of Business Administration from Drury University. He is also a graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College. He is a General George C. Marshall Award recipient, is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives, is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is a U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel (retired).
