KHC HIIN Webinar - August 22

August 22, 2018
10:00 - 11:00 a.m. CT

Kansas hospitals participating in the KHC Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN) are encouraged to attend a virtual meeting on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. CT.  The monthly meetings provide direct access to subject matter experts, peer-to-peer sharing and KHC HIIN project leaders.  This also is a good opportunity to stay in the know about the project, progress to date, resources and opportunities in quality and patient safety.

This month, we will welcome Betsy Lee, MSPH, RN, improvement advisor from Cynosure Health, along with two Kansans who recently completed the 2018 Quality Improvement Fellowship sponsored by the HRET HIIN and conducted with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI).

Tina Capeder, MBA, director of quality, risk and compliance at Anderson County Hospital in Garnett, Kansas, will share a project she is leading to prevent falls with injury, starting in their long-term care unit.  In addition, Tammy Cunningham, RN, BSN, quality and outcomes coordinator for Olathe Health System, will share a project she is leading to reduce 30-day all-cause readmissions.  Tina and Tammy will share background to selecting their projects, development of their driver diagrams, measures, data, lessons-learned and plans for overcoming barriers, and next steps.
