10:00 - 11:00 a.m. CT
Kansas hospitals participating in the KHC Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN) are encouraged to attend our monthly virtual meetings, usually held the fourth Wednesday of each month from 10 to 11 a.m. CT. This month's event will take place Wednesday, September 25, 2019.
Our featured topic will be the American Hospital Association's Age-Friendly Initiative. Hospitals have an opportunity to join the Age-Friendly Action Community, which will convene later this month. This seven-month collaborative is designed for hospital-based teams (e.g., emergency departments, ICUs, medical-surgical units) and ambulatory care teams to test and implement the 4M Framework (Mobility, Mentation, Medication, and What Matters) and share learnings with their peers. Age-Friendly Health Systems has the ability to impact several HIIN harm measures including: falls with injury, pressure injuries, patient and family engagement, delirium, and adverse drug events.
Monthly KHC HIIN meetings provide direct access to subject matter experts, peer-to-peer sharing and KHC HIIN project leaders. This also is a good opportunity to stay in the know about the project, progress to date, resources and opportunities in quality and patient safety.
