Kansas hospitals participating in the KHC Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN) are encouraged to attend our monthly virtual meetings, usually held the fourth Wednesday of each month from 10 to 11 a.m. CT.
The topic for this month's event related to Adverse Drug Events and hypoglycemic control. Dr. Steve Tremain, physician improvement advisor, Cynosure Health, will review with us the new Top 10 recommendations by the American Diabetes Association for diabetic care in the hospital setting. He also will introduce the HRET HIIN ADE Hypoglycemia Process Improvement Discovery Tool that hospitals can use to identify gaps and opportunities to improve care. Sarah Gregg, RN, BSN, diabetic educator with St. Aloisius Medical Center in Harvey, North Dakota, will share her experience in using the tool during a recent HRET HIIN ADE Hypoglycemia Sprint.
Join us to stay in the know about the project, progress to date, resources and opportunities in quality and patient safety.
