The Kansas Healthcare Collaborative has decided to not offer the 2020 Summit on Quality.
We have come to this decision based on the uncertainties that remain regarding timelines for future Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) quality improvement contracts.
KHC prides itself on being the trusted source for relevant and meaningful quality improvement evaluation, measurement, and education. For 11 years, we have organized the Summit on Quality as the state’s premier quality improvement event, where attendees are equipped with education tailored to help them succeed in their quality improvement efforts, particularly initiatives structured by CMS. Once the landscape of federal quality improvement contracts in Kansas is clear, we will be better positioned to plan educational opportunities that are most beneficial to health care providers across the state.
However, we will continue as planned to recognize and reward exemplary quality improvement work in Kansas through KHC’s Leadership in Quality Awards—now in its sixth year, thanks to the generous support of the KAMMCO Foundation. KHC will begin accepting nominations for these awards soon—watch your email for the Call for Nominations. This is an opportunity to nominate your team or your peers for statewide recognition of their efforts. We are excited to recognize the outstanding work on behalf of patients across the state, and we look forward to the next Summit in 2021.
